Metalite To Supply The British Army In Iraq
Metalite is to supply its COREL edge lights to the British Army for use in Iraq. The CORELs, which will be supplied with free standing battery chargers, will be used to illuminate helipads. Metalite's freestanding battery chargers can charge either 8 or 16 CORELs simultaneously and when not in use can be "folded up" for compact storage. Both the CORELs and battery chargers can be transported within a helicopter or vehicle.
Metalite has a proven track record of supplying the UK Ministry of Defence with portable airfield and helipad lighting and has been supplying the RAF since the early 1970s. The British Army has joined a long line of customers who have selected the COREL for helipad use. Major users of Metalite's helipad equipment include the United Nations, oil and gas companies, police air support units and private helipad operators.
The COREL meets international standards for helipad lighting and is FAA approved.
